superstorm sandy and they will be for a long time, they're now bracing for another storm in parts of new york city and new jersey. evacuations already under way. airlines have also canceled flights in and out of new york airports. the national weather service says there's a chance for more flooding, strong gusty winds and even snowfall. airlines have already started canceling those flights in anticipation of another coming storm. it's just the barrage continues. >> look at all of that, the damage you have to deal with. all right, certainly a tough go. i know you've been keeping your eyes on those storms. >> what i can tell you about this noer easter, though, it is not even nearly as strong as sandy was. so that's the good news. we're only going to be experiencing the impact of this nor'easter for about 14, maybe 16 hours. and the expected rainfall -- of course the damage is already done from sandy but only expecting about 5 inches more if we see any and that is a very generous amount. here in our neck of the woods, much calcalmer. if you're trying to fly out anywhere, count on a ripple effect

. obama shoots up. in 2012 are taking sandy comes in and what happens. romney has to basically spent his campaign. obama comes in at presidential does thinks chris christie and he becomes best-loved going on all the networks. when you look at the polling 42 percent of the people voted said that sandy had an impact on their vote. that is 15 percent said it was the major part of why they voted. when you look at that with only 5% of the people voted on form policy may be 10 percent voted on health care. but 15 percent said it was sandy. there is a real october surprise in this election and it benefited the great benefit of president obama. >> before we go on to some of the state proposition is one more quick question on the national front. for the republican party you mentioned latino votes be important one for. are we about to seek an internal struggle in the republican party as to what our party is going forward. some people say we have to be more close to capture if that vote of the minority vote. others say no we were not conservative enough is the problem. >> the tea party rights movem

winner tonight. it was devastated, as you know, by that superstorm sandy and still awaiting word how many people in the storm zone could actually show up. but we are ready to project that the winner tonight in new jersey is president obama, george. >> so we still see the north is going to president obama, the south is going to governor romney. so far just about everything as expected right now. see the states filled in that have been called already but we'll keep our eye all night long on these big battlegrounds where the campaigns have invested so much time and energy and money. the big states that are going to tip the balance tonight, the vote continues to come in. i want to go to ohio. you see it on the map right now if we can zone in on the board. we see about 20% of the vote has now come in ohio. president obama has 59% of that so far. governor romney, 40% and jon karl, i want to go to you. so much of that lead is based on the early vote that was made before today. >> yeah, that's exactly right and, remember, i said at this time exactly four years ago, obama had a 33-point lead over

storm aimed at the hard hit northeast. and al is in sandy point, new jersey, again this morning. al, good morning to you. >> they built this berm, this dune a mile long yesterday to protect against the nor'easter yesterday to put in an access point and bringing in dump trucks to bring in more sand to protect against a storm surge. let's show you the northeast, because they are making a way along the new jersey coast and bringing in strong northeasterly winds and wind gusts from 30 to 40 miles per hour, and we are expecting airport delays along the i-95 corridor and expecting storm surge from two to four feet of storm surge along the eastern board. the storm surge is going to be causing problems on the beach erosion, and shore waves of 8 to 12 feet. and we have rain with the system. we are talking about anywhere from two to four inches of rain, but look at what is behind it. along the new york/new jersey shoreline, on into pennsylvania and upstate new york, we are talking about snow. some areas are picking up six to nine inches of snow. the philadelphia area has a winter storm warnin

of the super storm sandy to the polls, officials on the east coast have a new big problem. a winter storm a nor'easter expected to hit that region later today could cause more flooding and more beach erosion. new york city police are using loud speakers. they are urging people in low lying areas to get out to evacuate. this storm could also dump up to a foot of snow in yautias are still dealing with power outages. >>> back here at home a santa clara elementary school principal accused of selling drugs is due in court this morning to enter a plea. police arrested erik dean lewis back in september after they say he offered drugs to an under cover police officer. a search of his home in san francisco turned up meth, ecstasy pills and other charges. he's been charged with five felonies. after his arrest he was placed on unpaid administrative leave. >>> in a couple hours jury deliberations resume in if -- he is accused of assaulting seven women. if he's convicted dozer could face live in prison. >>> we are getting closer to 6:00. it could be getting a little more crowded on the roads. let's check in
